Lynne begged for Britney’s forgiveness in an Instagram comment on Saturday after the singer said in a long post caption that “a genuine apology would help give [her] closure” in their family drama.
“I am soooo sorry for your pain! I have been sorry for years!” Lynne Spears responded.
“I love you so much and miss you!” she added, “Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that’s hurt you!”
Lynne, 67, also pleaded with the American Music Awards winner, 40, to “please unblock” her so that they “can speak in person.”

A source close to Lynne revealed that she has been “trying, trying, trying to get in touch” with her daughter over the phone and feels “helpless,” leaving her with “no choice but to resort to social media.”
In the post that began Lynne’s acknowledgment of her faults, Britney wrote on Friday that the members of her family have “no conscious whatsoever and really believe in their minds they have done nothing wrong at all” when it comes to her past conservatorship, which gave her father, Jamie Spears, control of the “Stronger” singer’s personal, medical and financial decisions for over a decade.
A judge in Los Angeles ended the controversial legal arrangement altogether in November 2021, nearly five months after the singer alleged in court that her father sent her to a mental health facility against her will and forced her to go on tour.

“I don’t have a family that values me or respects me …. AT ALL !!!” Britney added in her Instagram post. “That’s the hard part for me and as much as I loved them, it’s something that I’ll [sic] probably ever won’t be able to get over.”
A source close to the singer disclosed that while her mother never had a legal role in the conservatorship like Jamie, Britney “feels more hurt by her mother’s inaction because they were always close.” the singer and her dad, meanwhile, “had a strained relationship for years — even before the conservatorship,” according to sources.
The source close to Britney also pointed out that regardless of Lynne’s “love,” she is still requesting over $600,000 in legal fees from her daughter.
