Sources tell Media Music News there have been a lot of talks with the singer and her team. We are unclear if she’s a definite performer, but sources tell us that the NFL may disclose who they’ve locked in as early as Sunday afternoon through social media.
The Barbados business woman makes a lot of sense, because she’s an artist on Roc Nation roster, so the decision is an easy one for rapper Jay-Z. Remember, the singer has been hinting her new music for over a year now, and if she’s prepared to release it there’s no better time and platform than the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
We’re also told there have been talks with another performer, but it’s not either/or which means there would be at least 2 performers on stage.
Interesting enough though, two years ago in 2020 Rihanna turned down an offer to headline at the Super Bowl Halftime Show because of her feeling about the way Colin Kaepernick was treated by the NFL.
Media Music News broke the story that the NFL discussed a Taylor Swift performance months ago to headline the Halftime Show, but she said rejected the offer.
Sources say she’d like to perform at the Super Bowl, but after she rerecords all 6 of her early albums.
