Friends, family and collaborators began sharing the tragic news of the Los Angeles native GI Joe OMG‘s passing on Tuesday evening.

Circumstances surrounding his death are for now unclear, his publicist Rebecca Kinchen told The U.S. Sun.
“We literally have no idea what happened,” she said.
“He was found dead and we are awaiting the results of the coroner’s report to learn details.”
His publicist revealed that information currently being shared online about the emcee’s death involving a car wreck or shooting is false.
She concluded her statement by saying — “If there is anything we want to share about this man, it’s that he was an amazing, solid man that was the best father to his two children and ALWAYS put his family first.”
Rapper GI JOE OMG was well-known for his On My Grind label and clothing line.
Fans immediately took to social media to mourn the loss of the rising star.
“You will be missed Gi Joe OMG. Thank you for your music that gave me peace. Rest In Peace King,” wrote one Twitter follower.
A Day in LA Magazine said: “Unfortunately, South Central based rap artist @GiJoe_OMG has reportedly passed away.
“The rapper was best known for his collaborations with Nipsey Hussle, J. Stone, and his infamous appearance on “Mailbox Money”. Sending prayers to his loved ones.”
