Who is DJ W1d0wm4k3r?
DJ W1d0wm4k3r, born David Gullikson, on April 25th 1972 in Augusta Georgia got a later start in the music business than most people, but music has always been a big part of his life. It has been a go-to for him when things got rough especially in times of great stress he would just put on some Metallica or Megadeth and just crank it up and tune out the rest of the world. This happened a lot. He had a rough upbringing.
David was married and had his first child by the time he was 19 working as a delivery driver for
a major beer company there was never enough time to pursue anything more than making an
honest living. By 21 years old he had his second child and life just kept moving forward by the
time he was in his 30s he was working as a painter, coaching Little League, and just enjoying
being a father but there was always something missing, he still had his music to get him
through, but somehow listening to it just wasn’t enough anymore he wanted to make music.
After a battle with drug addiction he was given an unscheduled break and that’s where he
began to really pursue his passion and really started to create his own sounds. At 48 he
produced his first song and played it for all of his friends locally; they loved it so much that they
encouraged him to move forward. He started to think that maybe his dream wasn’t so far out of
reach.
In his rise to notoriety, W1d0wm4k3r, continued to sharpen his skills as a musical producer and
a recording artist both writing and producing new songs in hopes of being able to perform in
front of a much larger crowd one day.
He has developed his own sound, a sound that is both edgy and eclectic with a vibe that
makes you want to hear more a vibe that can transcend you to a different world where you can
just be in the moment. David just wants to give to others what all the other artists gave to him, a way to escape one beat at the time.
