Singer Britney Spears‘ wedding was just significantly interrupted, as her first husband, Jason Allen Alexander, showed up intending to crash the wedding, resulting in a response from the police.
Alexander went live on IG Thursday as he approached event security, mentioning to him Britney had invited him and that she was his first and only spouse, and he was going to crash the wedding before a physical struggle happened. Alexander’s phone then froze.
In some way, Jason was able to make it inside Spears’ home, where he continued to live stream. He was finally captured outside.
Sources say the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department responded for a trespassing call, and are still on the scene.
Jason Alexander showed support publicly for Spears during the #FreeBritney movement, he was also in attendance at a rally outside an L.A. courthouse in August 2020 and sources he and Britney had recently had a chat.
The singer and Alexander tied the knot in January 2004 in a spur-of-the-moment ceremony in Las Vegas and filed for an annulment just 55 hours later.
Media Music News broke the story — Britney and Sam Asghari are set to get married in an L.A. ceremony Thursday.
